We usually face the question of how to choose the ball valve. The most common occurrences in our daily life are brass ball valves and stainless steel ball valves. Today, CMEC Aqua Valve will give you a detailed look at the definitions and differences between these two valves, as well as how to choose the right choice for your preferred valve.

Professional definition of two ball valve:

The brass ball valve is compact structure, reliable sealing, simple structure, convenient maintenance, sealing surface and the spherical often in the closed state, not easily be medium erosion, easy operation and maintenance, applicable to water, solvent, acid and gas, such as general work medium, but also is suitable for the working conditions of media, such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene, widely used in various fields. Ball valve body can be integral, also can be combination type.

Stainless steel ball valve itself is the main characteristics of compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, stainless steel ball valve can be used to control air, water, steam, all kinds of corrosive medium, mud, oil, liquid metal and radioactive medium such as various types of fluid flow. Ball valve body can be integral, also can be combination type. This valve should be installed horizontally in the pipe. Stainless steel ball valve classification: stainless steel pneumatic ball valve, stainless steel ball valve, stainless steel manual ball valve. Stainless steel ball valve is divided into 304,316 321 stainless steel ball valves.

The difference between two ball valves

1. The materials they use are completely different. The steel ball valve adopts copper and stainless steel ball valves are stainless steel.

2. The copper ball valve has excellent corrosion resistance, and the switching operation is smooth and efficient. Stainless steel does not produce corrosion, pitting, rust or abrasion and high temperature resistance. Ordinary stainless steel is more expensive.

3. Under the same pressure environment, the price is cheap for stainless steel, while the medium temperature of the copper ball valve is much higher than that of the stainless steel ball valve if the medium temperature is too high. You must use brass ball valves! If the medium temperature is not more than 80 degrees, use a stainless steel ball valve.
